When a class is scheduled, it can include an optional threaded message board. When students enroll in a course, they are provided access to it using their enrollment ID.
A classroom message board provides a 24x7 asynchronous means for students to communicate with the professor. Messages are organized by separate discussions (threaded), and postings can be public or private.
The professor can post grades, results, even homework assignments using the class message board. And each message posting can include an optional attachment (files, documents, PDF's, etc), perfect for document distribution.
Students can post private replies and attach their papers or homework for later review as well. For courses, it makes sense to use a classroom message board, postings are immediate and there's no chance of delivery failure (like e-mail).
For everyone's safety, all attachments are virus scanned, if an attachment is found to be infected, it is automatically removed.

Each time the instructor hosts a meeting, when a student joins and leaves that online classroom, usage records are retained. The attendance report uses this information to detail each student's attendance in all class sessions.
An instructor hosting report is also available. This report details each instance the professor hosted a class, the start time, end time and duration of the meeting, as well as the total number of participants who participated in the class session.
